Agent & Asset Inventory
What it is
The foundation of scani5 . Agents are lightweight collectors deployed on endpoints (workstations, servers) or as network scanners. They continuously report what software is installed, what patches are applied, and what configuration state exists on each machine.
Highlights
- Multi-tenant by organization — each customer's data is isolated under their organization profile.
- Endpoint and collector agents — supports direct endpoint monitoring and centralized collection models.
- Software inventory — tracks application names, versions, vendors, and operating system components.
- Patch tracking — records installed hotfixes and OS updates (e.g., Windows KB patches).
- Asset tagging — agents can be labeled with tags for grouping, reporting, and SLA tracking.
- Noise filtering — non-actionable or irrelevant software is filtered out so teams focus on real risk.
- Remote commands — supports operational actions such as log collection, database export, and agent restart.
In the application
Use the Assets views to browse the endpoint inventory, review installed applications, and inspect per-asset details:
- Endpoints — main asset inventory
- Applications — software detected across assets
- Identities — identity context per asset
